金持神社

●所在地　鳥取県日野町金持
●ご祭神　天之常立神（あめのとこたちのかみ）
●ご利益　金持というより、長者になれる金運神社。

　鳥取県日野郡日野町の根雨（ねう）という、出雲街道の宿場町のそばに、金持という地区がある。読み方は「かもち」だ。
　近在の鎮守である金持神社は、このご時世金運の神さまとしてとても人気が高いらしい。そりゃまぁ、そうだ。全国でもここ一社という、これ以上ないくらい縁起がいいお名前である。
　
　実際の金持神社は、どちらかというかこぢんまりとした、慎ましやかなお社ではある。が、鎮守の杜が保つ空気感といい、社殿の雰囲気といい、何やら「おわしまするな！　うん」と思わせるたたずまい。
　決して豪壮ではないものの、おごそか。みずから蓄財するタイプの神さまではなく、大盤振る舞いするタイプの金運の神さまであるらしい。
　
　本殿の壁には、グルリと無数の絵馬がかかっている。絵馬奉納所は別の場所に設けるのが一般的だと思うが、神様がおわすもっとも近い所に掲げた方が、神さまの目に留まって、願いが叶いやすいような気がする。

　無数の「幸せになりたい」という気持ちが風に揺れている中、「ありがとうございました」というお礼参りの奉納絵馬も多かった。中には「大分トリニータヤマザキナビスコカップ優勝、ありがとうございました！」というのもあった。わざわざ大分から祈願に訪れたのだろうか？　結構ファン（＝参拝客）は広範囲に渡っている。

金持の意味

　みなさんはお金持になりたいですか？
　ボクを含め、日本人全般はお金について話をすることが、何となくタブーだったりする。お金儲けに一生懸命だと、「あの人、ワル？」みたいな。人よりもお金に執着があると「銭ゲバ」なんて言われる。だけど、みんなお金は必要だし、できれば多くあった方がいいと誰だって思ったりするのに、ちょっとムジュンだ。

　お金持ちになるには、本人の努力とか、タイミングとか、さまざまな必要条件はあるとは思うが、お金に対する考え方をクリアにする必要がまずあるんだろうな、と思う。「シュークリーム大好きっ」くらい軽やかに、心から「お金大好きっ」って言えたら、お金を享受する準備はできているんじゃないだろうか。

　プライドの怪人と呼ばれた百瀬博教氏は「出会いに照れるな。お金に照れるな。それが人生のコツ」ということを、その著書の中で記していたが、四十を前にして中学２年生ばりに、あらゆるものに照れているボクは、なかなか人生のマスターにはなれない。

　そんなお金に対する矛盾を抱えている人が多い中、日本人の大部分は「清貧が一番」などと考えていたわけでもない。富裕層が「お金持ち」と呼ばれるようになったのは、つい最近のことで、以前はリッチで、目もくらむような生活を送っているうらやましい人のことは「長者さん」と呼んでいた。
　
長者さんというは、豊かな人である上に、何となく気前がいい、困っていたら助けてくれそうな「いい人イメージ」があるのはボクだけだろうか（20世紀少年の「チョージャ様」は別として）。

　お金持ちという言葉が生々しいならば、長者さまを目指そう。そうそう、金持神社の神さまは「長者の風」だと思う。行ってみたら分かる。
